Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ of Redeemer Baptist Church,

During this strange season when we cannot be the church gathered, we can still participate in the regular patterns of worship as the church scattered through the common grace of online technology. Times like these are not unknown to the saints who have gone before us, but unlike them we can still connect over the phone and through this online platform. One thing we all have in common is more opportunities to pray and anticipate the day when we can all meet to part no more in the presence of our Lord.

I encourage all our members to use this service as an aid to your family worship. For those members who don’t have access to the internet we will provide a DVD copy. Please feel free to let the elders know if you are aware of anyone we miss who would like a copy. And by all means, share this link with anyone interested in who Jesus is or in who we are as His church.

One way we can continue to love the church is by contributing to its financial and material needs. We still have missionaries who rely on our support. As we can, and are able, let us continue to contribute cheerfully to the work of the ministry. Prayerfully consider giving above and beyond to the Benevolence Fund which will allow us to care for those with financial hardships in this time. Members and friends can still send checks to the church address or set up a “direct bill pay” with your bank.

I began mentioning that this is a strange “season.” I used that word intentionally to reflect my belief and hope that this is but a season that the Lord has graciously led us into and will lead us out again, “for everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” God wants us to stop and listen while we are here, in this place and in this time, to learn the lessons He has for us and serve those He’s placed right in front of us.

Praying for you all,

Pastor Matt
